For thousands of years, white sage has been regarded as a sacred, medicinal plant that cleanses, purifies and protects. Due to its increased popularity and commercialism, it is being drastically over harvested. .It is important that you grow your own, and to use it mindfully. When you cultivate your own herbs and foods, it gives you an profound sense of appreciation of just how long it takes to nurture, develop and harvest these plants. It’s not always as easy as you may think. While some plants easily thrive and totally take over a garden, others need time, patience and the right conditions to bloom into their greatest potential, just like us humans.
